What to Expect:

The Church on the Hill’s roots are from the Wesleyan tradition, and our order of worship is a synthesis of elements from three historical worship streams.  From the Orthodox forms we use a procession, greeting, prayers of the people, confession and the Holy Sacraments.  The prominent acts from the Protestant service are the proclamation of the Word, choral anthem and hymns of faith.  The use of a praise band and contemporary songs are taken from the Pentecostal / Charismatic expression.  The combination of these streams and forms is what we’ve come to know as “Three Streams, One River.” Come as you are trusting that God will encourage you as we worship Him together.

Our Mission:

Our mission at the Church on the Hill is to love God, to corporately seek the Kingdom of God, to become a genuinely biblical church, and to function as the Body of Christ to this present age.

We believe we will express this mission by participation in the following practices:

To God:

1. Being wholehearted worshippers both publicly and privately.

2. Seeking God’s manifest glory in all of our services.

3. Worshipping and extolling God alone.

4. Seeking His will at all times and in all things.

5. Being willing to change as God directs.

To Believers of This Fellowship:

6. Being in sincere biblical covenant with all persons of this fellowship.

7. Equipping those believers committed to our care.

8. Encouraging each believer to discover his/her ministry and spiritual gifts.

9. Growing in number without losing an intimate family atmosphere.

10. Practicing intercessory prayer and ministry by employing the principles of spiritual warfare.

11. Strengthening the family by holding up God’s pattern and plan.

12. Providing instruction and encouragement in financial freedom.

To Others:

13. Encouraging our families to responsible Christian citizenship.

14. Evangelizing a fallen world in as many ways as possible.

15. Prayerfully caring about the Body of Christ worldwide.

16. Relating to brothers and sisters of other Christian fellowships in love and unity.
